During early post-war period gliders were marked
in non-systematic way before official marking guidelines were made. Individual centres gave their
ex-German glides Polish national markings of their own choosing, and those oblique ones were used
to overpaint German swastikas.
Sometimes it was just a black square, red or red-white-red band
and so on. Technically application of military markings on civilian gliders was illegal, but it
was still done during that period, but it is not clear when this ended.
